Obamacare – Individual and Family Insurance Plan

HEALTH INSURANCE: Insurance Affordability Programs include Medicaid, Child Health Plus, the Essential Plan, Advance Premium Tax Credits, and Cost-Sharing Reductions. The Marketplace will determine if you qualify for any of these programs, which can lower the cost of your coverage.

When can consumers enroll?
When you can enroll depends on which program you are eligible for, which is based on age, income and other factors. Enrollment is open all year if you are eligible for: Medicaid, Child Health Plus, and the Essential Plan. You can enroll in a Qualified Health Plan during the annual Open Enrollment Period, or a Special Enrollment Period, if you are eligible.

DENTAL AND VISION:

– Health plans with dental and vision coverage: Some Marketplace health plans have dental and vision coverage. You can see which plans include this benefits coverage when you compare them.

If a health plan includes dental, the premium covers both health and dental and vision coverage.

– Separate dental and vision plans: In some cases, separate dental and vision plans are offered. You can see them when you shop for plans in the Marketplace.

If you pick a separate dental and vision plan, you’ll pay a separate premium. This is in addition to the premium you pay for your Marketplace health plan.
